I do not regularly read sci-fi but the title of the book caught my attention and “tail”?
Tale is one of my favourite words in English and when I saw a spin-off, I was interested.
A tail of love in Machester is written by Asimava Roy Choudhary and is available on Amazon for you to read. It is a short to medium read and can be finished in 4-5 hours on Kindle. I received the copy of the book and started leafing.
The Interesting Start
The story started with a funny introduction by the protagonist: Arpan Choudhury
If I am in a crowd, you probably wouldn’t even notice me. But I am not inconspicuous, rather, I am typical. For an Indian guy, I have the right kind of built, right kind of vibes which help me in many cases to completely mix and mingle. But the magic stop there
And from here starts the adventurous story of Mr Choudhary who attempts an idea so daring that it changes his life – for good or for bad, you can decide after reading the book!
So Arpan presents a hypothetical theory in his “Innovation Management” class in front of his teacher nicknamed “Checkmate”. He proposes that humans should have tails that will help males to find a better match, as Arpan is also trying to do the same. He names his presentation “Effect of Genetically Engineered Extension of Vertebral Appendage On Preference In Partner Selection”.
Arpan gets what he wants, attention from girls, appreciation from the class, and glares from Checkmate. Task done!
But Arpan soon gets tagged as the “tail” guy with jokes flying around “retail” and “langoor tail”. The real trouble begins when Nayanika Grewal, the boring and dull topper of the class contacts him for an actual scientific idea on top of his hypothesis. Proposing their theory, they fly to Manchester.
The Manchester tale (tail)
Arpan and Nayanika formulate a hypothesis that they can reduce the exposure to radiation caused by electronic gadgets with the help of tail that Arpan had proposed. Their excitement reaches another level when a British team member Ed, actually has a tail, and he has been hiding this from everyone.
Arpan and Nayanika find the perfect target in him. Then follows a series of intermix of mythology, spirituality, sci-fi, drama, and romance.

A Tail Of Love In Manchester Review by Minireads
You can give the book a try if you are a sci-fi fan and like Indian mythology and spirituality combined with it. For non-sci-fi lovers, it might not be the perfect book for you as other themes are very subtle.
I really enjoyed the starting parts of the book but in the mid, it didn’t keep me glued enough. However, it got better towards the end.
If you have read ‘A Tail Of Love In Manchester” by Asimava Roy Choudhury, I am keen to know your thoughts on this book.
